Involved in caring and organisation of activities for children who are either disabled or from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Each day as an activity worker privides a different challenge, every child presents their own complex needs which demand appropriate care and attention throughout the day.
Development of excellent communication skills which are utilised to liaise with parents and carers who often become anxious when leaving their child.
Activity workers work as part of a large team and are required to adapt and help co-workers when needed to achieve team goals.
Base worker responsibilities include the control of the entire base, ensuring each child and worker's whereabouts is known and each person is signed out at the end of the shift.
