August 2011 — Present
While official title is server, I held many other positions based on the needs of the restaurant.
Establish rapport with each guest seated at my tables while maintaining cleanliness of both serving line and dining room floor. Provided support for other servers when needed while decreasing the amount of guest waiting for their beverages and meal.
Demonstrated the ability to assist take out guests in a timely manner both over the phone and in person. Provided a fast yet pleasant experience for each guest while listening attendantly listening to the guests wants, needs, and feedback.
Enforced restaurant's policies while motivating and coaching front of house staff. Listened to customer feedback and provided a well thought out solution that would both I and the customer could agree upon. At closing, my duties became more detail oriented. After assessing the resturant's current state, I began to develop strategies to not only be faster, but more efficient. Once all front of house has finished their respective tasks, each is let go once a quick inspection is completed. The most important part of the position comes once all front of house have cashed out. The final task of the night requires an eye for detail and quick problem solving skills. While I am quite confident in my abilities as either server, bartender,or manager, I am not afraid to take responsibility for my actions. Instead, I analyze the current situation and brainstorm various ways to prevent a similar scenario from occurring in the future.
