Graduate Assistant for the Office of Global Education and Partnerships at Millersville University
-Works with incoming exchange students from several locations around the world such as: Scotland, Chile, Germany, Chile, Japan, China, France, etc.
-Works with Millersville students looking to study abroad and assisting with any paperwork associated with their pre-departure from the US.
-Assists with MU Professor-Led Courses Abroad and the MOSAIC Program.
-Meets and assists with Global Education Ambassadors and their major projects for the completion of their Ambassador program.
-Attends Millersville events and Information Sessions as a representative on behalf of The Office of Global Education.
-Assists in event planning for major events regarding Study Abroad.
-Handles the calendar and website for The Office of Global Education. Handling of website includes all Announcements, events, and all Study Abroad options.
Served as care provider and teacher providing services to children of local families within the Church. Organized and arranged each program session, coordinated activities, and engaged participants. Managed, supervised, and held accountable for children between the ages of 2- 12. Intervened and resolved conflicts when necessary using appropriate de-escalation techniques. Performed routine supervision and care-giving tasks.
Researched, formulated, and taught university level students fundamental concepts of literary theory from scheduled lesson plans which included the study of Structuralism and Semiotics. Administered and drafted handouts with additional resources for knowledge acquisition purposes. Assisted English Professors with grading, lecturing, and student communication. Initiated, facilitated and moderated classroom discussions. Wrote and presented at a university sponsored literary symposium a thoroughly researched undergraduate thesis critiquing aspects of literature.
