“Remind thyself, in the darkest moments, that every failure is only a step toward success, every detection of what is false directs you toward what is true, every trial exhausts some tempting form of error, and every adversity will only hide, for a time, your path to peace and fulfillment. ” ― Og Mandino

American Cancer Society

Relay For Life Specialist

Part of why I loved working for the American Cancer Society is the opportunity to work with hundreds of people with different backgrounds toward the same goal - ending cancer and helping those who have been affected with cancer.

Thanks to the dedication and support of the communities I managed, my Relay For Life of Hampton, SC was the number one per capita event for two consecutive years!

Hope Lodge Weekend Manager

If you ever get the chance to volunteer at an American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, you won't be disappointed. Each Hope Lodge offers cancer patients and their caregivers a free place to stay when their best hope for effective treatment may be in another city. Not having to worry about where to stay or how to pay for lodging allows guests to focus on getting well. Hope Lodge provides a nurturing, home-like environment where guests can retreat to private rooms or connect with others.
