Financial Service Specialist

At Regions the Financial Services Specialist is viewed internally as the subject matter expert in the areas of branch sales and services. As the service specialist, I meet with customers and prospects to determine their banking and financial needs, and meet those needs by proactively matching and and selling or cross-selling appopriate products and services. In my position, I am required to meet individual and branch sales goals. Customer service skills play a big role in my current position, I am required to meet and exceed Gallup individual scores based on my customer service skills. In addition to customer service skills, communication skills play a big role in effectively performing my job and understanding my customer's needs. I have extensive knowledge of deposit account products, a solid foundation in consumer loans, credit education and guidance, and resolving customer issues. I have succesully completed numerous training programs in relation to my position ranging from customer needs based conversations to bank operations and compliance. Currently, in addition to my responsibilities of a financial service specialist, I conduct a monthly branch review report to audit all sections of the bank and I am a branch key holder. I am registered with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry and in the process of obtaining my State of Alabama Life Insurance license.

As a teller, I had initial contact to our valued customers. As one of the branch tellers,I greeted branch visitors and performed all my duties. While running a teller window, I provided paying and receiving transaction services to customers with accuracy, professionalism, and with a high level of customer service. In addition to transactions, I answered basic customer inquiries regarding products while complying with disclosure statements, regulations, and consumer privacy policies. In addition to inquiries, I also identified customer's potential product and services needs and supported the delivery of the appropriate bank services by referring customers to the platform team for further consultation. I was required to balance cash items, teller over/short reports, traveler's checks,savings bonds, and etc and adhere to all branch procedure controls. I have large cash handling experience, in addition I was a vault teller for some time requiring me to be held responsible for incoming and outgoing large currency shipments. I have knowledge of bank procedures, importance of dual control, uncovering customer needs correct identification procedures, customer service skills, team player skills, and working in a high volume branch.

I was required to provide customers with a high level of customer service in addition to educating them on safe tanning and selling them our products and services. I was required to work under a commission based sales program, where I was required to sale a set amount of tanning packages and products. I handled cash and credit payments and resolved customer concerns and questions. I was required work in a high volume salon where multi tasking and team work was required to adequately perform my duties.
