Travelling to Marrakech for the UNFCCC COP22 climate change conference as part of the communications team for the New Zealand Youth Delegation. Responsibilities include the creation and implementation of media strategies, compilation of media contact lists, creation of press releases, securing traditional media coverage, the creation of a new website for NZYD and more. The purpose of this role is to both relay developments at the conference back to New Zealanders, and to ensure that youth voices are being heard at the conference and by our governments.
As media coordinator I am responsible for the implementation of social media and traditional media strategies, maintenance of website using Nationbuilder platform, creation and sharing of press releases, content creation and more.
As Vice-President I oversee all actions undertaken by Plastic Diet and our volunteers, assisting wherever needed, including in event planning, volunteer coordination and particularly with administration.
Creation of news items, articles and other content for the D-Photo website and some print issues.
