Manage the development of schedule for Senator’s in-state trips that help build and maintain relationships with constituents in North Dakota. Support the executive assistant/scheduler in developing and coordinating activities and meetings for senator’s weekly and daily schedule in Washington, D.C. Administer payroll time and leave tracking system for internal staff.
Assisted the chief of staff with incoming calls and personnel projects, including developing and managing projected vacation pay report on a weekly basis. Provided pivotal support to the executive assistant/scheduler to help organize senator’s daily tasks such as scheduling requests and dispersion of weekly schedule. Prioritized and responded to requests for White House and Capitol Building tours from constituents.
Wrote memos for staff, attended briefings and answered incoming calls from constituents.
Supported managers during hiring process including the initial review of applications to assisting during interviews. Managed the filing system for over 100 full time employees as well as 20-30 part time employees. Assisted with bi-weekly payroll processing reports.
Produced e-newsletters and wrote updates for the Congressional website, escorted constituents on Capitol Building tours, and attended briefing and hearings for Representative Giffords.
Managed the field office for the greater Prescott area that worked to re-elect democratic candidate Ann Kirkpatrick for Arizona’s 1st Congressional District. Position required recruiting and training 30-40 volunteers and building cohesive activist networks across the region. Maintained political relationships throughout the region, leading to increased support for Kirkpatrick.
