Bing's Bakery

Head Sales Associate

I started here as a Sales Associate helping customers in the storefront. Over the years I've moved into helping the manager and owner with various tasks as well as managing the store while they are away. I pack and verify pastry and cake orders as well as taking photos of beautiful cakes. I work along with the bakers and decorators in the back of the house pertaining to orders and various details. This job has helped me learn the inner workings of both front and back of house tasks as well as the beginnings of how to manage a store.

University of Delaware

Bachelor of Science , Hotel, Restaurant, & Institutional Management

Within this major I have learned many different skill sets, such as, customer service, time management, leadership, and more. The major has many different hands-on labs that taught me skills necessary for jobs after college. I spent a semester working in different positions within a hotel as well as working both front and back of house operations in our student run restaurant.

Master Court of Sommelier

Sommelier Introductory Course Certified

I partook in the class and exam for the Sommelier Introductory Course as a part of my Beverage Management class in college. This course consisted of two days of teaching and learning about the different styles of wine and the wine regions. We were also taught the beginnings of identifying wines by smell and taste. I got the highest score out of all the UD students in our class.

Hospitality Club

I partake in club meetings and meet with the president and vice president of the club about club details. I helped plan a club trip for 20 people where we went on tours to major hotels and convention centers in Orlando, Florida as well as a tour in Disney World. I am in charge of collecting club dues, keeping track of the clubs funds, and collecting money from fundraisers.
