- Served as office business liaison by making employer visits, dispersing information regarding programs to employers, taking job orders, answering questions/concerns of employers, developed internships and On the Job Training opportunities with employers, and serving on the local chamber of commerce.
- Worked as the Training Coordinator which required an in-depth knowledge of federal/state training programs, training fellow employment counselors regarding such programs, and ensuring proper spending of a budget well over $100,000.
- Maintained a case load averaging 40 individuals while ensuring quality work as supported by all case edits scoring over 90% the duration of my career.
- Assisted customers in setting career goals and providing necessary resources such as work experiences on internships, the On the Job Training program, formal training, and necessary funding to meet such goals.
- Managed the Workforce Investment Act Youth Program by providing youth with opportunities to finish their high school diploma/GED, provided employment counseling, provided work experiences, and proper mentoring.
- Used Labor Market Research as a means of monitoring employment trends and ensuring that job opportunities were prevalent when making career goals with customers or offering formal training in any given occupation.
- Organized and taught pre-employment courses on a weekly basis. Courses included Skills Identification, Job Searching with Technology, Application Completion, Resume Writing, and Interviewing.
