Senior Director, Product Management (Digital Wallet)

* Formed and directed a cross-functional team of 25 product managers, 50 designers, 200 engineers and a $26 million budget to build PayPal’s multi-channel digital wallet that can be accessed via a mobile device, tablet, computer, in store purchase, or online checkout.
* Redefined PayPal’s offering to consumers as a digital wallet that includes traditional payment instruments (cash, credit cards, bank account), new payment tenders (coupons, loyalty cards, merchant balances), and new shopping tools to support PayPal’s presence at point of sale. Currently 10,000 US consumers are engaging with the new wallet during our limited invitation phase. PayPal will grow to 5million active US users and extend into 7 additional global markets by the end of 2012.
* Set a multi-year vision, design, and experience for a differentiated digital wallet that will drive consumer engagement with PayPal both online and at point of sale.
* Transformed internal processes on how PayPal products are built and launched. Implemented agile development on the largest scale with PayPal, incorporated multi-variant testing, built PayPal’s first beta platform, and created new consumer feedback channels.
* Drove a service oriented architecture that enabled rapid iteration of the user experience, visuals, and content. This architecture reduced product complexity and enabled a 50% reduction in lines of code for one of PayPal’s original products (send money).
