Trout Lake Community Centre , 3350 Victoria Dr

Teacher/ Instructor

While at Trout Lake I taught several classes. Each class had 7-10 students from 3-5 years of age. "By Myself" this was the introduction to a program away from their parents. Free play, story telling , puppets, messy art. This class helped to build my tools in dealing with children that have high needs and separation anxiety . "Adventure in Art" this class allowed children to explore art with different materials and tools. Learning about some of the most influential artists of our time. "Discover the Joy of Reading" in this class I told stories using books, puppets, felt board ,prop boxes and songs allowing the children to interact. "Tots & Tumbles" I used yoga, music and movement song, obstacle course; developing balance , front rolls, boundaries ,self regulation and a lot of fun. "Small Sport" the children learn the very beginner skills of different sports ,soccer ,baseball etc. They learn to work as a team ,good sportsmanship and playing for fun and our health.
