Life is Short, Life is Sweet #LISLIS

What I Am Doing (W)rite Now

I have been searching for ways to become more intentional with my life and new paths to living my dreams. One of my friends recently advised me to, "Release. Breath. Trust."

This advice has given me the space to allow creative energy in. It's a work in progress, but I have revamped my blog and will be adding new content about my greatest inspirations: travel, nature, and food. Hopefully readers will be inspired to upgrade their current approach to dream living.

If you are going through a rough time right now and don't know what you want, just know that it is temporary and that life has a way of revealing amazing and beautiful opportunities to us. Release. Breathe. Trust. We are all a work in progress and we are all worth the wait.

Visit this work in progress and let me know what you think!

Certification, Web Design

Skillcrush changed my life. I am still searching for that "Dream Job" but I have to say that life is better today than it was before Skillcrush! I learned what I was made of and the classes totally demystified the tech world for me.

This certification course covered an introduction to HTML, CSS, Photoshop, Wireframes, User Flows, Sitemaps, UI/UX, JavaScript and jQuery.

University of Nebraska, Lincoln

Bachelor of Arts, Environmental Studies

After I completed a Bachelor of Arts at University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL), I traveled through Southeast Asia for 6 months where I discovered the healing arts. I spent two years soul searching in this field when I discovered web design. I enrolled at Skillcrush and am working on a web design certification. I am focusing my future education on networking, web design/development, and digital marketing.

My experience at UNL was a gateway into self-discovery. I was inspired by my coursework and looked beyond school through volunteer work and traveling abroad to Japan and India. These experiences molded my life today, as I continue to travel and push my social and professional limits. (Photo: Lincoln Journal Star

The Holstee Manifesto

This is one of my favorite videos for inspiration. I love to share it with the world because it keeps me inspired to follow my dreams. Sometimes, following your dreams can be a rocky road and it always helps to have a little boost! Skillcrush involves this video in their curriculum and when I saw it there, I knew it was a sign and that I was on the right track!
