Never did I think I'd work with a product that has THC. But, here I am. It's only .3% THC, it's Hemp with 26% CBD. If you don't know what CBD is: it's the new catchword in MMJ. I love helping people and this position lets me help people and animals with debilitating illnesses get healthy, feel better, and get rid of t...

CannaInternational

Chief Operating Officer

I learned my passion for helping people was bigger than what I could do with just my own consulting firm. I didn't have the right connections or the right knowledge this time. It's been learn as I go. CannaInternational is a hemp and marijuana company that specializes in helping people and animals with debilitating illnesses. We make Hemp Paste and CannaPaste.

Nanny

Working as a nanny to two teenagers and a single executive father gave me quite a bit of experience juggling multiple tasks at a time. Making meals, cleaning the house, doing laundry, keeping the kids organized, and making sure they got to activities on time were some of my main duties. This position gave me back my love for working with teen athletes and helping them adapt to a changing world.

Pump it Up

Supervisor/ Coordinator/ Attendant

Working with children has always been a passion and making their birthday’s special was so rewarding! I spent many years at Pump It Up in various positions. I started off monitoring children and adults during their time in the play area, making sure everyone was safe and having a good time. I also managed those same children and parents during the eating and present opening time making sure everything ran smoothly and went according to plan. I also was a supervisor for parties, making sure the other staff members were helping maintain safety requirements as well as help everyone enjoy the experience.

Buckner Martial

Instructor

Assistant teaching and later teaching martial arts classes to toddlers through adults has been my most rewarding experience to date. I worked with beginners through black belts as well as children who had learning or physical disabilities. Managing a classroom of students no matter the age takes passion, discipline, and of course skill ability and teachings skills. As a third degree black-belt and a young instructor I had all of those things. The skills and techniques I learned in teaching martial arts led me to where I am now.

The most important thing is to follow your passion, learn to market yourself, and just have one person say yes. That's all it takes. Mentorship is key in life. Finding your mentor may not happen in graduate school, mine didn't but I still think of many of my professors as mentors.

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Psychology

Psychology classes are some of the most interesting classes available in my opinion. I loved almost every one. What was so important in my undergraduate career was finding professors who shared my love of sport psychology and performance enhancement. We still connect and share even though I'm no longer their student. Find your passion and find someone to share it with.
