Worked as part of the Data Network Provisioning Team, responsible for the ordering, installation, testing and acceptance of equipment needed to run the BlackBerry and corporate data networks.
Worked closely with the engineering and project teams to ensure bill of materials (BOM) are completed according to the order requirements. Managed the intake of finalised BOM, sourcing of formal quotes, quote validation and input into the storage resource management (SRM) system, creating the SC.
Managed orders through the SC lifecycle (approvals) to release of PO to VAR. Managed VARs and OEMs for delivery of the order to the specific sites according to project schedules.
Ensured that appropriate maintenance programs were implemented on all new hardware, and managed the RMA process with the support areas for and Day 2 operational needs.
Worked with VAR/OEM to assess pre-sourcing equipment based on project requirements in order to improve timelines.
Worked with taxation and logistics teams for all import and export items to eliminate risk of exposure, and worked with licencing departments to ensure that national laws weren’t breached by importing or purchasing prohibited equipment (especially relevant to countries such as India and China).
Managed all administration and documentation, and negotiated contracts to close.
Liaised closely with project managers to report on project progress.
Worked closely with vendors to effectively manage relationships.
Developed, implemented and maintained a redundant array of independent disks (RAID) management, migration and escalation framework among the project team at project, programme and inter-programme level.
Managed the global inventory, asset tag, location, financial track and upkeep of the configuration management database (CMDB).
Ensured proper maintenance coverage for related equipment.
Monitored and produced reports for project capital expenditures.
Ensured adherence to compliance regulations.
