I am currently an HR/Corporate Paralegal at a leading open source driven software defined storage company. In this role I am a paralegal to the company's General Counsel and VP of Administration. As needed, I also support the company's HR Generalist. My duties include/have included:
-Assisting in the creation and implementation of an Open Source Software Policy.
-Aid in ensuring company is compliant with Federal Export regulations. Organized company-wide training on Export Compliance and audit all new employees and contractors for training completion. Conduct Denied Persons Screenings using Visual Compliance on all Employees, Contractors, and Subcontractors. Escalate and clear any Denied Persons matches.
-Review and track all incoming NDAs and CIIAs.
-Update Corporate Minute Book and Bylaws.
-Drafting standard operating procedures.
-Legal research and memo drafting.
-Drafting/updating Consulting Agreements.
-File all incoming resumes and send receipt confirmations to applicants.
-Assist with employee on-boarding.
-Track PTO for all employees.
-Oversaw the company's application process to become a sponsor for immigrants to the UK.
-Maintaining UK entity HR files to ensure compliance with UK law.
-Light clerical and reception duties including answering phone, sending and receiving packages, filing, visitor sign in, and employee badging.
