Quality Assurance- Inspection and Part marking
November 2011 — December 2013
I manage the part mark cell, using electricity to etch information onto airline parts. I work primarily with military contracts, etching 2D bar codes, serial numbers, part numbers and manufacturing numbers onto parts. I maintain high quality part marks, with very low return rates. I am skilled with grind tools, Electromark etching machines, shallow etching, deep etching and rubber stamping. This is my main responsibility on a daily basis.
I also work as a quality inspector, following customer specifications to ensure parts meet standards. I am in charge of the EMS/Safety program in my department as well, which includes running weekly audits and maintaining proper safety within each cell. I create BPW's (best practice worksheets) for each QA department within the building, which entails working with engineers and coworkers to ensure we use the correct practices in training.
I have experience inspecting parts per customer specifications and drawings, as well as some experience with pressure testing, X-ray and fluorescent penetrant inspection.
I spent a little over a year serving as the receptionist for swing shift, handling calls, transferring and communicating to supervisors any necessary information.
