It’s unclear to me whether the Food Network knows that National Doughnut Day is this week (specifically, today) or if they’re just trying to torture me every night. The station has been featuring the most delicious-looking doughnuts every night this week. If you’re thinking Voodoo Doughnut is a place with voodoo doll-shaped doughnuts, then you’d be right! Last night’s episode of Man vs. Food featured this unique spot. But they also have maple bacon doughnuts and other unique flavors, which brings to mind some of my favorite Doughnut places. There’s Bob’s Donut & Pastry Shop in San Francisco, as well as the classic Doughnut Plant in New York City. Emmaus Bakery, located in Emmaus, Pennsylvania bakes the best doughnuts I have ever had. It is perfectly proportioned with icing, dough, and deliciousness. If someone showed up at my office with a dozen babies, I would probably faint. But before that happens, here are a few thoughts that might go through our heads. How about bringing in some treats for the office to lift our spirits?

1. “I could definitely eat that entire box.”

Thankfully, there are other people in the office to stop me from that!

2. “Thank God I worked out this morning.”

…because now I can have two.

3. “If I want just the icing, will someone else eat the dough part?”

Everyone just wants the best for themselves.

4. “I better take one for later.”

If you want any chance of getting one, you better act fast before the rest of your coworkers eat them all up.

5. “I must resist!”

I cannot do that.

6. “Shit. I already had breakfast this morning.”

Who cares that I already breakfasted on a ham, egg, and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel—there are doughnuts!

7. “Where did you get these treats for office staff?”

It would be beneficial to become friends with the person who introduced you to them, as it is evident they know what is going on.

8. “I’m gonna be sick.”

This food is simply too delicious to resist.

9. “Will someone split one with me?”

Not long after, you’ll need someone to help you eat another.

10. “How many can I eat before I get judged by my coworkers?”

2? 3? 7?

11. “I don’t want to take the last one!”

What are you waiting for? Go ahead and do it!
