Program Manager for IdEx Bordeaux

IdEx Bordeaux is the Initiative of Excellence of the University of Bordeaux, a €700 millions development strategy to build a world-class multidisciplinary university.
In my capacity of Program Manager:
- I lead the digital agenda of IdEx Bordeaux and manage a portfolio of innovative projects on e-learning (incl. MOOCs and an IDEFI-N laureate project), citizen science, open access, open innovation…
- I develop partnerships between the university of Bordeaux and digital / EdTech startups
- I supervise the challenge-based research program of IdEx Bordeaux on water (Agenda eau), involving numerous stakeholders and researchers from Bordeaux and beyond
- I manage actions to improve the performance of knowledge transfer in social sciences and humanities
- I participate in the pedagogical and scientific committee for the development of simulation in healthcare set up by ARS, the regional health authority
- I have visited the University of Edinburgh as part of an Erasmus+ Staff Mobility and have presented at numerous national and international conferences (ECSITE 2016, École IST de l'Inra…).

My daily tasks include hiring and training new staff, coordinating a projects portfolio, managing their progress and raising funds.

Part-time lecturer

I teach digital science communication as part of the professional diploma (DU) in innovative science communication and outreach. This 15-hour course was later adapted into shorter training sessions for PhD students.

Deuxième labo

Co-owner and founder

Now a think tank focused on the mutations of scientific research and innovation, Deuxième labo was first developed as a consultancy doing public outreach and scientific communication.

As co-owner and co-founder:
- I managed the ongoing business of the company and its 35 customers, targeted 170 ANR research projects in a direct marketing campaign, and developed the business by taking bold steps in the fields of digital humanities, reproducible research and research data.
- I planned the strategy of the company in the field of science communication, achieving thought leadership through proactive thinking and public relations. We used content marketing through several op-eds in "Le Monde" newspaper.
- I assisted research labs in the dissemination and valorization of their research, using a blend of media relations, networking facilitation and editorial communication tactics.
- I managed various communication and web projects, assisted the drafting of research projects and grant applications e.g. in the field of digital humanities.
