As co-founder of Fortitude Fitness-CrossFit 78702, I am responsible for day-to-day tasks related to business operations, management, and marketing. In less than 2 years, my husband and I have grown our business from a 750 square foot facility with 10 founding members to a 7500 square foot facility with 150 members. In addition to athlete recruitment and engagement, I manage our website property, lead our social media strategy, and develop our annual member communication plan. In collaboration with my husband, we focus on athlete-centered improvements and take customer service very seriously.

The LIVESTRONG Foundation

Director of Events

Over my seven year tenure at the LIVESTRONG Foundation, I have learned to design and deliver events that meet the revenue and participant engagement goals of the Foundation, ensuring flawless experiences for event participants, sponsors, and volunteers. I have worked hard to ensure that our events' strategies and plans are aligned with the organization’s strategic and financial objectives in collaboration with the Foundation’s executive management. Year over year, I have been given more responsibility on building the long term plan with Executive Management.

On a tactical level, I cultivate and nurture relationships with current and potential event vendors and production partners. In addition to building external relationships, I provide ongoing support and advice for the participant acquisition strategy and marketing plan for both Team LIVESTRONG and Grassroots events. Finally, I have developed an evaluation process to assess the strengths of events, provide feedback for improvement, evaluate ROI, and determine fit within the event offerings provided by Team LIVESTRONG.

As a teammate and colleague, I value honest communication, collaborative teams, and the opportunity to lead as well as contribute and learn. I constantly challenge my peers and direct reports to work efficiently and appreciate discussions around prioritization to improve focus and productivity. At LIVESTRONG, I have found it extremely rewarding to work with others who are passionate about their job and commit to hard work and friendship everyday in the office.

At Spoonbend, I was the primary Account Manager for this boutique design firm. Specializing in small-medium size business needs, I played a critical in marketing planning and implementation, brand identity research and brand development, and campaign/project management. Working in this intimate small business setting inspired my entrepreneurial spirit, leveraged my work ethic, and provided me invaluable experience working side-by-side with designers and vendors.

Ryan Partnership

Program Manager

At Ryan, I developed diverse client management experience on brands such as New Balance, W.J. Deutsch & Sons: [yellow tail], Pommery/POP, Osborne, Artesa, Renwood, Georges Duboeuf and Englert Inc.: LeafGuard, RainPro, and Metal Roofing. My role included presenting project briefings to client and relaying their expectations to the agency team. I was expected to generate conference reports for all client meetings and conference calls. In addition to these communication and administrative duties, I developed and maintained project timelines, coordinated project stages and budgets with all relevant agency personnel and managed the quality control of client projects.

Within the hierarchy of the agency, I was expected to provide ongoing support to SPM/MD/SVP and keep them informed of client activities and issues. I actively cultivated my knowledge and understanding of clients’ brand platforms, their products/service offerings, as well as their current marketing objectives and competitive set in order to be a more effective team member to my senior colleagues. As a result, I was promoted after 7 months with the company.

At Ryan, I learned how to work independently as well as collaboratively. The agency structure and face-to-face client responsibilities pushed me to learn how to identify and anticipate potential problems and finds alternative solutions proactively. Lastly, the nature of this business pushed my written and verbal communication skills, demanding clear, logical, and concise language and confident, quick decisions.
