Latin American Player Development
Whether an individual plays baseball or not, relocating to another country in which the native language and culture are completely unfamiliar, is extremely difficult to do. When your future depends on how you perform in an unfamiliar culture, through a language you do not understand, it can be completely overwhelming. Extreme frustration, a sense of feeling lost and lonely, as well as high levels of stress directly associated with the culture shock and adaptation process to life here in the states are all factors that can adversely affect players performance on the field. There are ways to help players deal with these issues by adding personal assistance to the programs currently in place.
Our team brings a wealth of knowledge, having worked with players in the Houston Astros, Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals, Miami Marlins, Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres organizations; as well as players from the Puerto Rico Baseball Academy High School, Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy and throughout Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Panama and Venezuela. Through this experience and input gathered while working with players, coaches and team personnel, we have put together plans to develop individualized programs that will help players focus their energy on playing the game, increase their communication skills on the field and off, while helping them develop into contributing members of their team and their community.
Professional Athletes in the Community
Beyond the Diamond connects athletes with charities and causes where they can contribute and provide support to the individual charities’ missions. By involving professional athletes in causes they are passionate about and developing a plan of action for their future philanthropic endeavors, we build the foundation where they are able to use their athletic success to make the world a better place and inspire the next generation to give back to those in need.
