Xerox contacted me to work for their on-site account. This was a temp-to-hire position (through Kelly Services) starting in their mailroom. I posted outgoing mail and charged the appropriate accounts. After five months, Xerox hired me as a Xerox Temporary worker. I attended meetings and training seminars. I started cross training in the copy center for an eventual promotion. I also completed, at my supervisor direction, an outline to design my future with Xerox. I obtained clearance to visit and eventually work at Xerox’s Headquarters in Santa Ana, CA. Owing to a hiring freeze; Xerox did not hire me on permanently. They laid me off as they lost the client account where I had been working. Employment history is available through Xerox Corporation.
