At this position, I develop PR strategies, writes and edits news releases and pitches, develops media lists, and secures media placements in print, broadcast and online publications. Along with my team I help execute strategic media campaigns for very high-profile clients. My day-to-day is working with media; reporters, writers and producers for editorial content. I helped with various proposal writing and presentations that lead to successful wins. As a Associate Assistant, I took a leading role in serving clients including Value Retail China Yi Ou Lai, Value Retail Europe, and Swatch. I also had a supportive role in clients including Puma, Moet & Chandon, Rebecca, etc.
As a public relations intern, I pitched media, foster media relations, wrote press releases, help strategize, develop and launch national campaigns, planned, developed and executed events, secured media for international brands including Clarisonic, Matrix, Tia Maria, Rowenta Beauty, Tria Beauty, Krups, etc.
As the only non-medical employee, I handled all the phone calls, appointments, employment payroll, patient files, payment, receipts and all other administrative work. I oversee and coordinated all fraternity traditions, ceremonies, heritage programming, and new member classes. I supervised my committees and overall raised understanding and appreciation for our international Fraternity. This position allowed me to demonstrate teamwork and the ability to instill Pi Beta Phi’s values into our very own chapter.
I was an ambassador for Uniiverse.com, a start up online company. I put together marketing schemes with the team, set up different promotions for the website and worked on building a brand mainly online and on social media platforms. Being a start up company allowed employees to explore innovative ideas and thoroughly execute it.
The research with Dr. Henrietta Lempert determined what factors (such as morpheme insensitivity, phonological memory, etc.) can affect acquiring English as a second language. I conducted literature research, collected, coded and analyzed data, drafted research report and presented our findings. I also attended a conference on the mind, brain and language at the Royal Canadian institute of Advancement of Science.
I corresponded frequently with Headquarters acting on behalf of our chapter and administered membership status, risk management, meeting documentations, chapter correspondence, and developed the bylaws. I managed the Policy and Standards Board and served as liaison between the Board and the Executive team.
