Working as a Recreational Therapist’s Student I was responsible to organize recreational programs such as; games, picnics, dances, etc. I was held accountable to track the residents daily activity, assist them with daily tasks, take them to appointments, serve them meals, and take them on outings (bowling, zoo, Fort Edmonton Park, movies).

Event Staff

Working with the Edmonton Oilers and the Edmonton Capitals on the event staff I had a lot of involvement with the community. During games I would help with on ice/field promotions and activities. Through the summers I would assist with out of town hockey camps for children put on by the Edmonton Oilers as well as ball hockey games throughout the city.

Working as a receptionist I learned many different organizational skills, especially coordinating patient appointments with all the different services offered at our clinic. I was also responsible to organize and find patients old records within different clinics and within our clinic, so I organized an efficient filling system. I also did tasks, such as greeting, assisting and directing guests, workers, visitors and the general public; answer all incoming calls and handle caller’s inquiries; provide office support services so as to make sure efficiency; receiving, directing and passing on telephone fax messages; directing the employees, guests and general public to the right staff member; maintaining a sufficient record of office supplies; providing word-processing and clerical support; and pick-up and deliver the mail.
