Marketing Coordinator

Under the guise of a Marketing Coordinator, I have my hand in not only marketing but also event planning, content development, graphic design, communications and business development. Working for CallisonRTKL, a global design and architecture firm, every day is different. In my position, I create proposals for private and public workplace projects, brainstorm and execute marketing campaigns and events, and work with our firm-wide communications team to plan speaking opportunities for our designers and architects.

Career

University of Maryland Panhellenic Association

Vice President of Public Relations

In this role, I worked on a board with 8 women from different chapters within the Greek community to promote the mission of PHA. I developed programs and materials to help promote the organization’s purpose, including leading a group of 14 members at weekly Public Relations Committee meetings. I also planned and executed the first annual Student Leaders Dinner for 120 students.

Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value. –Albert Einstein

University of Maryland

Bachelor of Art, Communication, Focus in Public Relations

Throughout college, I held a number of different internships and extracurricular roles that contributed to my success as a student at the University of Maryland. I learned a great deal about leadership, being proactive and working with others.

Spectrum Science

Public Relations Intern

During my two-semester internship at Spectrum Science, a PR firm focused on health and science, I monitored media, created promotional marketing materials and award submissions for Spectrum, and wrote social media and blog posts for clients. This was my first venture into public relations outside of the classroom, and I fell in love with communicating for the good of others.
