Supports the implementation of organizational improvements by participating in data collection, small tests of change and implementation of new workflows.
Contributes to the orientation and learning of members of the health care team.
Serves as the site contact person for essential partners such as LA Unified School District, LA Neighborhood Land Trust and Fremont H.S.
Oversees the patient care coordinators, check-in, patient appointments.
Oversees the medical assistants, patient flow and scheduling.
Adjusts staffing to reflect changes in priorities, according to organizational policies and procedures. Assures that MAs are contacting external laboratory and providers, such as radiology, when test results are not made available in a timely manner.
Ensures that exam rooms are clean and stocked at the end of each day. Inventories laboratory and medical supplies, checks for expiration dates and orders supplies.
Reports and follows up on issues that affect patient care environment and safety.
Assures that all medical equipment is in working order and calibrated correctly.
Coordinates with Director of Clinical Operations needed repairs.
Takes equipment out of service per the organizational policy and procedure.
Communicates training needs to Director of Clinical Operations and CMO.
Performs regular check-ins with staff and annual staff evaluations.
Maintains open communication with all clinic staff and Fremont H.S. Maximizes resources by seeking assistance from appropriate support, effectively using supplies and making suggestions for improved approaches.
Responds to emergencies per organizational policies and procedures and licensure.
Serves as the clinical liaison to the Risk Management department at UMMA.
Serves as UMMA’s safety officer.
Serves as the lead for UMMA’s Disaster Preparedness program.
Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Clinical Operations or Chief Medical Officer.
