The Co-operative Party

While studying abroad in London, England, for a semester, I worked for the Co-operative Party in the head office. I was put in charge of managing the Media Monitor, summarizing and analyzing in real-time key news stories and current events. Also, I participated in trips to Parliament, worked with members of Parliament and assisted the Wales branch office with projects including research and analysis of data. Part of my duties included answering the phones and being able to think on my feet and problem solve.

Teacher's Assistant

I served as a TA to my professor for two sections of Introduction to U.S. History to 1865. Although I had previously taken this class, I attended the assigned classes, took notes and read the assigned readings. I was responsible for hosting study sessions and provide tutoring to students on a weekly basis. I also met with students by appointment to assist and guide them in brainstorming ideas for their papers, as well as provided support as a mentor to outline and edit their papers.

The Art of Fusion

Marketing Assistant

During my Summer Break, I worked hand-in-hand with the founder of the music company. I listened to new music hits to promote to radio stations, created the company website, created the company email, ran errands for the company, as well as organized the office and filed paperwork. In addition, I kept the company completely up to date by following his clients on via social media (i.e. Twitter and YouTube). I would partake in helping to promote the clients.

Financial Aid Student Worker

During my Freshman and Sophomore years I worked 10 hours a week in Earlham College's Financial Aid Office as the only student worker. In doing so, I streamlined organization and filing of financial aid records. Also, I researched and answered financial aid questions from prospective students and their parents, as well as helped to answer questions or communicate information to my fellow students and kept the office running smoothly by running errands. Confidentialty was essential and continues to be honored and protected.
