Don't look back. Just go ahead. Give ideas away. Under every idea there's a new idea waiting to be born. (Diana Vreeland)
I came to D.C. to create change - my dream job maximizes the change it is able to create through hard work, creative messaging, and solid strategy.

Disaster and Community Crisis Center, University of Missouri

Social Media/Public Relations Coordinator

Coordinating TDC's Facebook presence and promoting their message has been one of the most rewarding experiences I've had at college. Their research about community, family, and personal resilience after trauma and disasters is vital to a healthy recovery. I overhauled their social media presence, including creating a fun and professional tone to give the serious content more lift. We created a post calendar, a way to track links, and seriously plugged TDC projects and content. I love this center, and I love the work that they do. Check them out at www.missouri.edu/tdc.

I started as an Assistant Account Executive at Ogilvy Washington in 2016. I support clients like FEMA and the CDC on their messaging strategies, internal communications, partnership building, and event planning, among many other things.

University of Missouri

Bachelor of Journalism, Public Relations and Copywriting

At the University of Missouri's storied school of journalism, I gained firsthand newsroom experience, as well as invaluable insight into advertising and messaging strategy. I learned about client management, research-based insights, and minored in American foreign policy analysis.

Washington Foreign Press Center, Department of State

Intern

At the WFPC in Washington, I was lucky enough to assist in credentialing and coordinating foreign correspondents based to cover DC for DOS briefings, and summits. We pitched events to appropriate media, organized foreign and domestic reporting tours to promote DOS initiatives, and maintained relationships with journalists from nearly every country on earth.
