I am a student at Iowa State University majoring in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Bioengineering. I am aspiring to work for a top Biomedical or Biotechnology company. I also served on the Executive Board for Iowa State Dance Marathon and am an Alpha Chi Omega alumna.
Chemical Engineering to me was the path to get to my future career. It opened my eyes to how much I can make a difference in the Biomedical Engineering field with this degree. I am so excited to begin my career utilizing all that I learned at Iowa State!
Dance Marathon is neither a dance nor a marathon; it is a celebration of life. We are for the kids, 365 days a year. Our celebration, Dance Marathon Weekend celebrates all we have done throughout the year. This past year I had the amazing opportunity to serve on the Executive Board as the Events Co-Director; it was the best year of my life!
Throughout this summer I was not only fortunate to grow as a professional by completing projects and working with co-workers, but was able to grow as a young woman beginning her career. I gained valuable skills that go beyond my education such as networking, communication, teamwork, etc., that will be extremely helpful as I start my career.
Enter prescriptions and insurance information into the computers, fill prescriptions, deliver prescriptions, basic paperwork, help customers in person and on the phone, and basic cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy.
