I collect and evaluate data related to the implementation of the Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) Initiative into primary care practices in New York City. I designed and am continuing to analyze data relating to insurance claims and practice workflow data in order to encourage increased reimbursement of SBIRT services. I conducted a literature review of reimbursement and financing practices of NYS public and private health insurance companies.
