Starting out, I was in charge of making drinks and helping maintain the shop in terms of cleanliness and efficency. I would either open the store and help in the afternoons or close and take care of the registers/prepping for the next day.

My title as assistant manager enabled me to take orders from stock companies as well as taking money orders in addition to my usual duties.

I initially began as a dishwasher, where I was in charge of washing dishes, cutting potatoes, and cleaning the café after we closed. Once I was promoted to prep cook, I was in charge of prepping certain foods (salads, crepês) while learning the basics of working on the line. I was also in charge of preparing certain batters (pancake, crepês) and learning how to combine ingredients to make batters.
