• Performed level one of KYC auditing in all business lines to ensure AML and OFAC regulations were applied in accordance with Federal laws. Took ownership of individual cases using appropriate case management tools and procedures to remediate accounts in timely manner.
• Carried out varying levels of research/investigation, depending on the complexity of each alert/case. Undertook review of existing clients within the database to ensure that their documentation was kept up-to-date. Accurately documented rationale for case closure or escalation as appropriate.
• Liaison with Relationship Managers to obtain information on business activities and financial transactions to better understand the risk exposure of the bank and document findings pursuant to KYC policies.
• Assisted in identifying BSA/AML/OFAC compliance risk and ensured that proper controls, procedures, processes and training were in place to mitigate risk exposure.
