•Played a key role in ensuring the successful launch of a previous defunct HR office at the Lenexa, KS, location. Structured and implemented programs and policies in the areas of training, compensation structures, benefits packages, incentives and new-employee orientation.
•Reworked an open-door environment favorable to positive dialogue inside the warehouse organization. Personal efforts in upkeep for Employee Chat Line, used for all employees to provide a dialogue of issues that hinder production; helping ease retention and high turnover.
•Restarted Town Hall/ Associate Communications meetings as a follow up to the Employee Chat Line, bridging a gap between management and employees, which has brought a strengthen relationship between the two. This increased morale that increased employee satisfaction and productivity.
•Reduced on boarding training from two days to one day, affectively allowing employees to not only be highly prepared however dutifully educated on HR policies and procedures as well as company direction and employee expectations.
•Re organized and implemented the Lenexa Employee Manual covering issues including disciplinary procedures, code of conduct, FMLA policy and benefits information.
•Revised internal job descriptions across of all levels and 20+ categories allowing for a more clear understanding of positions being hired for.
•"Shadowed" and interviewed employees to construct an accurate picture of the duties and skills required for each position.
