Abigail Brennan

Assistant Account Executive

Weber Shandwick

Chicago, IL

I like pretty things and connecting people. I like it even more when those two come together. At Weber Shandwick, I get excited about connecting brands, consumers and the media to share a story. I also founded the blog A Little Leopard to share my life + style inspirations.

You can never be over-dressed or over-educated. - Oscar Wilde

Weber Shandwick

Assistant Account Executive

I started work as a consumer intern at Weber Shandwick in July 2014 and was hired on as an Assistant Account Executive in October 2014. I help connect consumers to clients like Loews Chicago Hotel, MilkPEP and TracFone Wireless through media relations, team support and other traditional tactics.

Illinois State University

Bachelor of Arts, Public Relations

I hopped around majors a bit (English, Art History, Acting) before finally finding my passion in public relations. Once I did, though, I was hooked, and held a variety of internships and leadership positions. Shout out to Professor Becky Hayes, whose infectious energy and passion for the subject inspires me to this day, and who let me bug her during office hours while working on an independent study combining two of my favorite things: communications and fashion.

ISU is where I really honed my love of writing, storytelling and connecting people - I managed the social media for the School of Communication, ISU PRSSA and helped to manage the ISU PRSSA blog and newsletter as well.

The Left Bank Bridal Finery

Social Media Intern

As a social media intern, I used HootSuite to manage the Twitter account (over 950 followers) and Facebook page (over 1000 likes) for a Chicago bridal boutique. I researched and developed social media strategy and an editorial calendar for The Left Bank's blog, Everything but the Dress. Blog traffic increased 25% during my three month internship.

From June 2010-January 2011, I was a Food and Beverage Cast Member at the Hollywood and Vine Restaurant. From January 2011-May 2011, I worked in Attractions at Kilimanjaro Safari in Disney's Animal Kingdom. Both roles required me to deliver exceptional guest service as part of a Fortune 100 Company, ensure the safety of our guests and work as part of a team to create "magical" experiences on a day-to-day basis.
