Mercy College

With experience in financial services, consumer goods, and public accounting, I bring to the table a diversified perspective as a student. You would be surprised to know that I am mostly caring, passionate and observant. I listen when others speak, and think when others answer. Not your average accountant.

Corporate Control Intern

I was working on a government filing project when my manager realized we were approaching the deadline, with more than 100+ entities we still had to file for. That is when she decided that I should recruit other interns and teach them everything that I had been doing (a very specific, meticulous process). It was one of the best experiences that I had...teaching while still learning and being a resource and savvy on the topic. I had to build that trust and reputation with my manager and in the end, she took a risk on me and when we finished she called me a "gem".

B.S., Public Accounting

Upon high school graduation, I was shy and not very self-confident or self-aware.

In my Organizational Leadership class I was giving a presentation on "Likeability"...the topic was leadership. I wanted to find an unfamiliar characteristic that some leaders have and expand on it for other students. I was engulfed in the topic and felt knowledgeable from my own life experiences. That presentation changed the way I present from now on. I was exuding confidence and was so happy with my performance. Now I am ready to tackle any presentation or task that I am asked to do.

I frequently speak to prospective students and their parents about coming to my school. I am a student ambassador to the School of Business which has also taught me so much about communication with different audiences.
