University of Puget Sound

Bachelor of Science, Economics and Mathematics

In college I developed a passion for data analysis, especially in economics. For my senior thesis I completed a empirical analysis called "Secuirty Spending as an Independent Variable on an Education Production Function."

A lot of my learning happened outside of the classroom. I was a member of the varisty women's rowing team, where I learned the value of teamwork, setting goals, and pushing my limits. I am also a member of Kappa Alpha Theta fraternity for women, where I learned leadership, conversation skills, the value of philanthropic works, and the ability to work with differing view points.

My passion lies with data analysis. I would love to bring the skills I have learned in my math and economics classes to real world problems.

University of Puget Sound | Economics Department

Course Assistant

When the professor introduced me to the students on the first day of class she described my role as a compliment, not a substitute to her role. We worked together to ensure the the students could fully grasps all of the topic in the introductory economics class. I lead weekly review sessions on both macro and microeconomics topics. I also prepared students for exams and graded both homework and quizzes.

Tutor and Statistics Grader

As a tutor, it was my duty to assist students at all levels with their homework and exam preparations. Not only did I have to know a wide variety of subjects, but I had to be sure to work with students so that they could actually learn from what I told them. As a statistics grader, I graded both homework and lab reports for the introductory statistics class. I was responsible for providing constructive feedback to the students.

Sustainability Program Assistant

Our main goal was to collect recyclable materials to ensure a sustainable campus culture, but we did so much more than that. We partnered with local organizations, such as the Northwest Furniture Bank and Goodwill, to donate a wide array of items. I was one of a few student workers selected to attend the Washington State Higher Education Sustainability Conference. I also assisted with marketing and outreach aimed at educating the entire campus community on the best and easiest ways to live sustainable lives.
