It’s easy to get overwhelmed and burnt out from the never-ending cycle of work, school, commuting, working out, and maintaining a social life. When we’re spread too thin, even the most secure person can start to feel insecure and lose their self-esteem. It seems like there’s never enough time to be anything but perky and cheerful. Here are six 20-minute plans that’ll give your confidence bank a much-needed quick confidence boost:

1. Take a Break From Technology and Disconnect From the Online World.

I recently took a break from technology for the weekend, and I felt refreshed and more self-aware when I returned on Monday. This simple challenge helps me to be present at the moment without compulsively checking my phone every two minutes. Additionally, disconnecting from technology can be a great way to learn how to gain confidence quickly.

2. Get Up and Do It.

The next time you’re feeling anxious or insecure, remember that you’re probably ready for whatever is causing those feelings. We’re given challenges because we’re capable of handling them. If you’ve been asked to make a big presentation or decide whether to move across the country, it’s because you can handle it. So don’t overthink it—just do it! Embracing such challenges is a significant step in learning how to boost confidence.

3. Adjust Your Posture and Smile to Seem More Approachable.

When you slouch or slump, it negatively affects your mood. I often work on projects at my computer for extended periods and when I finally sit back, realize that my body is aching from being in the same position for so long. My face is also tense from not smiling. To avoid looking like the Hunchback of Notre Dame, fix your posture before it becomes a bigger problem! Improving your posture can also contribute to how to increase your confidence.

4. Write Down a List of All the Good Things That Have Happened in the Past Week or Month.

Allow your past successes to push you towards future ones by using that positivity as motivation. As the saying goes, if something isn’t broken, don’t fix it!

5. Exercise.

Get your tush to the gym and break a sweat–it will make you feel better, thanks to those endorphins. And don’t just stop there! Get outside too and do some running, walking, hiking, or biking. These are all excellent exercises because when your body is physically moving forward, your brain starts to believe that you’re going somewhere.

6. Be Creative and Make Something New.

Summer camp activities like macramé or woodshop class in middle school allow you to tap into your inner creative child. And the best part is, you can physically see and hold onto what you make! Focusing on any art project is a very satisfying task. Quickly cooking up a nutritious meal doesn’t have to be boring. It can be quite the opposite! This process is a great way on how to increase your confidence. By using your creativity, you’ll find yourself boosting your confidence in unique ways. These small tasks can help fuel your imagination and let it run free.
