Change is in the air. We just celebrated the last full weekend of summer, football season is ramping up, and new fall TV shows are about to start. On campus interviews are kicking into high gear, grad school applications are soon due, new jobs and internships are in full swing, and business cases for promotion are looming.

All wonderful and exciting… and, too often, very stressful.

Change isn’t always easy, especially career change. It takes careful planning and hours of preparation to master an interview, to negotiate a raise, or to ask for a recommendation letter. How many times have you Googled what to wear, how to say thank you, when to follow up, what to say… Wouldn’t it be amazing if you had access to real experts to ask your questions (instead of always relying on your friends)?

Starting this week, you do.

We know that sometimes, it really is best to ask the expert instead of asking the audience (Who Wants To Be a Millionaire was onto something!). Which is why we’re launching a new series of Office Hours with best-in-class career experts to help you through any career transition you’re experiencing. Whether you’re panicked about finding an internship, determined to get promoted, or completely unsure of your next career step, we’re bringing the experts directly to you.

Starting this week, we’re airing Career Expert Office Hours every Tuesday at 2 pm EST / 11 am PST, as a complement to our regular Thursday Office Hours Mentorship chats. These new, 30-minute video chats will include a 15 minute presentation on a specific, tangible career skill. And to make sure you get the coaching you need, we will always have 15 minutes of open Q&A. We’ll be bringing you resume experts, career coaches, accomplished recruiters, grad school counselors, and more.

Take a peek at the amazing experts coming up this month:

  • Pitch Yourself, Sell Yourself, Carry Yourself – How to Succeed at Your First Job or Internship // Lauren Berger, CEO InternQueen.com
  • The One Thing That’s Even More Important Than Your Resume // Christine Hassler, Life Coach & Author of Twenty Something, Twenty Everything & Twenty Something Manifesto
  • How To Negotiate Your Salary Like an FBI Agent // Jim Hopkinson, Author of Salary Tutor: Learn the Salary Negotiation Secrets No One Ever Taught You
  • Acing Your Video Interview // Jenn Johnson, Executive Search Recruiter & Board President, Y.E.S! (Young Executives for Success)

We hope you’ll start joining us on Tuesdays for insider advice and information that you won’t read in magazines or get from your friends. Here’s to building the career of your dreams!
